Why This Matters

Insurance rarely derails a closing. Chasing it down is what costs everyone time.

It's rarely the coverage itself. It's chasing a wrong or incomplete binder, requesting a correction, then waiting another day or two for the fix: the back-and-forth loan officers, processors, and title companies all know too well.

01

Wrong mortgagee clause

A binder comes back without the exact lender-required wording. Now it's not just corrected, it's re-issued, and the whole file is waiting on it again.

02

Coverage doesn't meet requirements

The policy doesn't hit the replacement-cost or deductible thresholds your lender specifies, so the file stalls until it's fixed and reissued.

03

Borrower hasn't started shopping

It's a week from closing and homeowners insurance is still an open item on the file.

Beyond the Paperwork

AGENT ISN'T RESPONDING

We step in when the normal process isn't moving.

BORROWER HASN'T SECURED COVERAGE

We handle the insurance process.

Once your borrower requests through your link, we handle the insurance process from quote through bind, so you're not stuck chasing the insurance item yourself.

CURRENT POLICY DOESN'T MEET LENDER REQUIREMENTS

We work to align the coverage.

We review the requirements and work to get the coverage aligned before the binder reaches your borrower's lender.

MORTGAGEE CLAUSE NEEDS CORRECTION

We handle the correction.

We make sure the mortgagee information is handled correctly so your team isn't chasing corrections.

PROPERTY IS DIFFICULT TO PLACE

We work the available options.

When a property presents a challenge, we work the available options or route the file to another licensed insurance resource when appropriate.

CLOSING IS APPROACHING

We step in when the deadline gets close.

When insurance is still outstanding and the deadline is getting close, we're built to step in and move the file forward.

Common Questions

What MLOs ask before sharing their link

What information is needed to get my borrower a quote?

Your borrower enters it themselves through your personal link: the property address, expected closing date, and their lender and mortgagee clause information. Details like roof age or prior claims can speed things up but aren't required to get started.

Does my borrower have to agree before OneHourBinder contacts them?

Yes. Your borrower completes their own request and gives their own consent on our form before anyone calls or texts them. You never enter their phone number or consent for them.

Can you meet the mortgagee clause and coverage requirements my lender specifies?

Yes. Lender name, mortgagee clause wording, and specific coverage or deductible requirements are captured up front so the binder can be prepared to meet your lender's requirements.

What if the property is a harder risk, like an older roof or coastal location?

Properties outside standard carrier appetite can be routed to other licensed insurance professionals who focus on harder-to-place risks, so a declined quote doesn't have to become a dead end.

Will I see updates on my borrower's request?

Only if your borrower chooses to share them. The request form includes an optional permission for us to send you status updates. Without it, we don't share the status of their request with you.

Is there any cost to use OneHourBinder, or any referral fee?

No. It is free to get your link and share it. OneHourBinder does not pay for referrals, and you should not ask for or accept anything of value for referring a borrower. Your borrower may choose any insurance provider and pays for their own policy directly.
